In this position, you will be responsible for shaping and executing content strategies that enhance the university's brand, engage the academic community, and drive student involvement, creating and managing content across various platforms while ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging that resonates with both current and prospective students.

You’ll need to stay closely connected to student activities, campus events, and the wider university community to discover new content opportunities. You’ll work to highlight academic programs, student achievements, extracurricular activities, and other campus initiatives that inspire engagement. Your role also involves optimizing SEO content, creating scripts and materials for video projects, and overseeing digital marketing campaigns, all while ensuring the university’s core values are communicated effectively.

We’re looking for someone who is able to take on the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage content for the university’s website, social media platforms, and digital campaigns. Ensure that all content reflects the university’s mission and appeals to diverse audiences, including prospective students, their parents,  faculty, and alumni.

  • Stay closely connected to student activities, clubs, and university events to gather fresh, relevant content. Highlight campus life, academic milestones, and community achievements in content that fosters engagement and promotes the university experience.

  • Create SEO-optimized content for all digital platforms to increase the university’s online visibility. Regularly assess the effectiveness of content strategies using analytics tools and refine content to meet performance goals. Briefings and guidelines for SEO content will be provided by our SEO agency.

  • Write and edit copy for a variety of materials, including brochures, email newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and digital ads. Ensure content is informative, engaging, and aligned with the university’s tone and voice.

  • Develop creative content ideas to drive student enrollment and engagement, including webinars, virtual events, and LinkedIn outreach campaigns. Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategies and maximize impact across channels.

  • Lead the content strategy for the university’s social media channels, fostering a sense of community and engagement among students, staff, and alumni. Track social media metrics and adjust campaigns to improve reach and interaction.

  • Create offline marketing materials, such as brochures, banners, and flyers, to support university events and outreach initiatives. Collaborate with departments to ensure that all promotional materials align with the university’s branding and communication goals.

  • Work closely with various university departments, including admissions, student affairs, and academic units, to gather and share content. Coordinate with external partners such as advertising agencies for content-related tasks and campaigns.

  • Regularly review and analyze content performance metrics, including SEO rankings, social media engagement, and lead generation. Use data insights to refine strategies, ensuring continued growth and improvement.

To be successful in this, we’re looking for someone with the following skillset:

  • 2 to 3 years experience creating content for diverse formats, including video, blog posts, and print materials.

  • Proven experience in content marketing, copywriting, or similar roles.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an understanding of how to engage and convert both students and wider community audiences.

  • Ability to develop SEO-optimized content that drives web traffic and engagement.

  • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform content strategy.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with students, faculty, and external partners.

  • Fluent in both German and English
