About the Role

CODE is looking for a Student Assistant - IT (f/m/x) to join our team in the heart of Berlin. 

In this position, you will be responsible for contributing, with hands-on technical support, to the efficient daily operation and maintenance of the university’s technology infrastructure.


As a Student Assistant - IT (f/m/x) we’re looking for someone who is able to take on the following responsibilities: 

  • Configure and enroll iMacs and PCs into our management systems.

  • Install and securely configure Wacom drawing tablets on iMacs.

  • Update, clean, and standardize user profiles on iMacs and shared PCs.

  • Conduct periodic inventories of all IT assets, update and maintain asset records in SnipeIT, and track equipment checkouts and returns.

  • Regularly check and maintain technology in shared spaces (TVs, monitors, projectors, etc.).

  • Install and set up network switches and cabling as needed, and ensure basic network & wifi troubleshooting.


To be successful in this, we’re looking for someone with the following skillset: 

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware/software (macOS and Windows).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Service-oriented mindset and proactive problem-solving.

  • Fluency in English (at least C1). 


If, beyond this, you bring along any of the following, it would give our team an edge. Keep in mind that none of these points are requirements, though:

  • Familiarity with common office, AV, and event equipment is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in German is a plus.

  • Having a German bank account to be able to get paid

  • The right to work and primary residence in Germany

  • 15,00 EUR per hours (gross)
