Student Assistant: Orientation Semester (SE)

About the Role

CODE is looking for a Student Assistants - Orientation Semester (SE) (f/m/x) to act as tutor in

Programming courses for Orientation Semester students. Typically, courses at CODE are delivered

in-person on our campus in Berlin.

In this position, you will support our students in their learning experience by:

● Helping to create a fun, rigorous environment for Orientation Semester students to push

themselves to learn

● Running learning group sessions for students, and helping with content & challenges they are

struggling with

● Ensure that essential course feedback reaches Faculty

● Support students in discovering and developing a project idea

We’re looking for a student who has:

● Desire to help fellow students

● Some understanding and practical experience with Python.

● General software development practice and knowledge (we will approach many topics, but not

in-depth)

● Passed the module SE_01, or likely to pass it this semester.

For us to be able to hire you for this position you must meet the following requirements:

● Being currently matriculated at CODE.

● Having a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.

● Having the right to work in Germany.

● Having a German bank account.

What you can expect:

● Minijob contract

● Duration: Winter Semester 2026

● Part-time position (maximum 70 hours for the total duration of the contract)

● 15 EUR hourly rate (gross)
