About the Role

Keep CODE's campus safe, functional, clean, and inspiring for everyone, every day. As the hands-on operational presence on the ground, you run daily campus operations and facilities, ensure spaces are consistently ready for teaching and events, and help our single campus remain a welcoming home for the community and a strong reflection of CODE’s brand and values.

A core part of this role: you genuinely love when things are in order—you regularly walk the campus to make sure spaces look spotless, storage is organized, and everything is neat, labeled, and easy to find.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Workplace Experience & Daily Campus Standards (Campus + Team Office)

  • Own the day-to-day workplace experience across campus and the team office: spaces are welcoming, spotless, well-stocked, and ready to use.

  • Run daily walkthroughs to proactively spot and resolve issues (cleanliness, presentation,

supplies, layout, safety).

  • Set clear shared-space standards (meeting room resets, kitchen etiquette, storage rules) and keep them easy to follow.

  • Own storage and inventory basics: storages are neat, categorized, labeled, and

supplies/consumables (cleaning, kitchen, office) are stocked and stored logically and safely.

  • Ensure teaching, meeting, and event spaces are “ready to start” (setup/reset, signage,

  • Maintain lightweight documentation (checklists, SOPs, escalation paths) and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and recurring issues. 


Campus Operations and Facilities

  • Oversee the smooth functioning of all campus facilities and building services in coordination with building management.

  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and facility improvements with vendors and service providers, including issue tracking and quality control.

  •  Manage campus-related vendors and service providers, and support alignment of contracts, improvements, and budgets with financial plans.


Space Planning and Campus Extension

  • Plan and execute larger campus projects (e.g., renovations, reorganizations, new setups).

  • Contribute to data-driven campus layout planning.

  • Reorganize and upgrade rooms and common areas to improve flow, capacity, and usability.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Plan, implement, and monitor health and safety regulations, audits, and emergency plans.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility requirements through regular checks, documentation, and communication.

Reception and Mail

  • Work together with our reception team to coordinate and improve entry policies, visitor access, and logging.

  • Collect and distribute mail and packages.

  • Oversee inbound and outbound mail and parcels: receiving, sorting, distribution, and preparing/sending post.

Infrastructure and Logistical Support for Events

  • Collaborate with the Event Team to ensure all events have the necessary technical and logistical Infrastructure.

  • Coordinate facilities readiness with clear, reliable turnaround.


REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Solid experience (3-5+ years) in campus or office operations, hospitality, or facilities

management.

  • Proactive, structured, and hands-on approach, comfortable combining planning with daily operational tasks.

  • Experience coordinating and negotiating with vendors and external teams.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety standards, audits, and compliance.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.


Preferred (not required)

  • Safety Officer (Sicherheitsbeauftragte) certification, or willingness to obtain it.

  • Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.

  • Basic knowledge of campus and office technology, such as AV systems, monitors, TVs,

  • projectors, and conference setups

  • Experience in higher education or co-working environments.

  • Space planning or facility design experience.
