The BME study program is involved in an initiative to create a new online journal for applied academic content in the product management and entrepreneurship space. As Research Assistant for BME you will support in the preparation and development of this initiative. Additionally, you will support the team as Teaching Assistant for the module OS_03: Introduction to Business Management & Entrepreneurship, acting as a tutor for Orientation Semester students.
We’re looking for someone who is able to take on the following responsibilities:
1. Research Assistant tasks:
- Research current journals and other publications of applied academic research in the field of product management and entrepreneurship.
- Research technological options for the operation of an open access online journal.
- Support the planning, scheduling and execution of meetings, workshops, and events related to the initiative.
- Support the preparation and development of templates for the typesetting and layout of academic content.
- Help create a positive environment for Orientation Semester (OS) students to push themselves to learn.
- Help OS students with content & challenges they are struggling with.
- Ensure that essential feedback reaches Faculty.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks, including document preparation and report generation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
- Understanding of academic environments and the ability to navigate academic policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally to various stakeholders.
- Desire to help fellow students.
- Knowledge of basic project management principles and experience in coordinating
- meetings, workshops, or events.
- Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an educational or academic setting.
- Previous experience in online publication of longform content.
- Being currently matriculated at CODE, in the BME program.
- Having a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.
- Having the right to work in Germany.
- Having a German bank account.
- Working student contract.
- Duration: Fall Semester 2026.
- Part-time position: maximum 20 hours per week (up to 15 hours per week for Research Assistant tasks + up to 70 hours in the whole Semester for Teaching Assistant tasks).
- 15,00 EUR per hour (gross).
