About the Role
The Interaction Design team at CODE is looking for a department assistant to help with the further development of the program. Student assistants in ID are integrated with the faculty team and offer a student perspective on the department’s day-to-day operations.
As an Interaction Design Department Assistant (f/m/x), we’re ideally looking for someone who can take on the following responsibilities:
Join the effort to further develop the ID learning concept so that we can take our students' learning experience to a new level.
Collaborate on designing and implementing surveys on the study experience to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.
Assist faculty in building and maintaining information material for students, e.g., on Notion and Miro to create a more coherent information base for all students.
Support in the creation of online material for teaching and learning so that we can create more professional assets for hybrid learning.
Help plan and execute community events so we can create more ways to share and connect.
Assist as a teaching assistant so that we can successfully teach larger courses.
To be successful in this, we’re looking for someone with the following skillset:
You enjoy working your way into new digital tools so that you can quickly learn all of the tools we are using.
You have a high proficiency in English (C1), so you can easily navigate within the international team.
You are familiar with CODE’s information infrastructure from a student’s perspective so your viewpoint can help optimize it.
You are committed to equal opportunities for all CODE students, particularly for Women at CODE, LGBTQI+, Campus Accessibility, and Learning Accessibility.
We fully appreciate that the boundaries of your knowledge are where you start to grow, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t bring everything we need today. We want to create our future together.
For every position at CODE, we also need you to meet the following requirements:
Having a German bank account so we can pay you
The right to work and primary residence in Germany so that we are allowed to employ you
Enrollment as a regular student at a university in Germany (You will need to provide your Certificate of Enrollment before starting this position)
If, beyond this, you bring along any of the following, and it would really give our team an edge. Remember that none of these points are requirements, though:
You feel knowledgeable in Figma, Notion, and video editing to support digital design processes.
You have already completed your first modules in Interaction Design so you can support us in teaching bigger events.
This role is suitable for an enthusiastic working student with some experience. As such, we’re offering a salary of 15,00€ (gross) per hour, with a maximum of 20 hours per week - outside the lecture period up to 40 hours. This role is available from February 2023.
